TRACES: Drawing Practices Now

COMO Museum, Lahore
March 27, 2026 – June 30, 2026

Group Exhibition

Drawing is among the most immediate and fundamental languages of artistic practice. This exhibition explores mark-making as a way of observing and responding to the world.

The mark registers movement, pressure, hesitation, rhythm - acting as both evidence of a moment and a generative act. The trace of the hand, in its immediacy, maps patterns of thought.

Across the works presented, the line functions as an originating gesture from which other processes unfold. Initial linear marks extend and accumulate, gradually giving rise to broader gestural practices that shape surfaces, structures, and spatial relationships.

By foregrounding mark-making, the exhibition focuses on how drawing continues to inform present day practices.
